Agnes Seaweed Wisden is a multidisciplinary Kwakwaka'wakw artist and entrepreneur. She holds a BFA from Emily Carr University of Art and Design and has apprenticed her family of carvers, the Seaweed Brothers.
Norman, Alfred and Paddy Seaweed gave her the foundational skills in silversmithing. Agnes has just completed her first artist residency at the Franklin Studio for Metal Arts 2019 and is now an Artist in Residence at Skwachàys Lodge in Vancouver, BC.
Agnes gains her inspiration from her experiences with big ocean swells and misty coastal forests and can often be explored with a kayak or a surfboard.
